Introduction

I'm passionate about my profession [art professor at a local university] and hoping to find a down-to-earth, equally passionate man who prefers a woman who is creative, introspective, selfless and a bit "off the beaten path".

In my private life I create all kinds of art [mainly printmaking and drawing], sew my own clothes, knit, rejuvenate old furniture, and garden. like most artists, I collect lots of ephemera for inspiration...anything from retro plaster fish from the 1950's-70's, to mannequins and century old books with beautiful illustrations. To fuel my creativity, I listen to music almost constantly throughout the day. Otherwise, you will find me either reading a book or making one; I own a small printing press (with lots of letterpress type) and have aspirations of publishing artist's books and one-of-a-kind greeting cards.

In romantic relationships I desire someone who is true-blue, humble, compassionate, and somewhat of a renaissance man. If you can tell a good story (fiction/non-fiction) that makes me laugh or cry, that's half the battle. I love the outdoors in any weather (city, country, or seaside), so a sporting event, hiking, camping, etc… are all possibilities. equally [and in my life back east], I have enjoyed jaunts to the art museums, historical sites, etc... .

Ultimately, if you are multi-faceted, have an interest in/open-minded to the arts, a free-thinker, occasionally old-fashioned in certain situations, strong-willed but not unyielding kind of man, we'll have a strong foundation to build upon.
