Introduction

People who know me describe me as idealistic, introverted, intelligent, and passionate about my beliefs. I mostly grew up in Indiana and Kyrgyzstan, where my parents were missionaries (its a small, mountainous country in Central Asia). I've lived in cities, but love the countryside most of all. Currently I'm an active duty member of the U.S. Navy. It's been a great opportunity to see the world and meet a lot of interesting people. I do believe my calling in life is to a family and children, and so I plan to leave the Navy when my enlistment contract expires in another four years.

I converted to Catholicism from Protestantism almost two years ago, and am constantly amazed by the richness of tradition and grace found within the Catholic faith. G. K. Chesterton has probably inspired me the most, but C. S. Lewis runs a close second. I'm still discovering the Church's depths of wisdom and tradition, but am deeply grateful to God for His grace in welcoming me to His family.

In my free time, I enjoy reading (mostly fantasy, history, classics, and adventure), writing novels, hiking, theater/performance arts, and singing. I'm fascinated by history and enjoy a good debate about social issues, politics, etc. or anything else!
