Introduction

Full disclosure: I'm not a Catholic. I was originally baptized and raised Congregationalist, but my family stopped attending church when I was 10. Until I was 18, I didn't have much interest in religion (aside from a historical standpoint); however, in my senior year of high school, I went on a class trip to France and had the opportunity to attend Palm Sunday Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral. I was absolutely blown away (and I couldn't even understand it - the service was in French!) I'm embarrased to say, I ignored my initial reaction; it took 4 years, another trip to Notre Dame, and a talk with a close friend to convince me to attend Mass. After much introspection, I've started taking RCIA classes; I genuinely believe this is my path (even if it did take me a while to realize it).

I'm looking for a lady who is loving, funny, smart, beautiful, caring, and honest. A lady with whom I can spend the rest of my life- not just a random hookup. That's what led me to this site, I think: I want to find a good Catholic lady with whom I can raise a family (with lots of kids!). Someone who can support and love me in good times and bad, and who isn't afraid to speak her mind when I'm wrong.

Essays

What I'd like to do on a first date...
Anything casual. Dinner, coffee, (heck, even mini-golf). I'm not a big fan of movies as a first date, because it doesn't give you chance to talk to the other person. I want to find out about the other person - their hopes, their dreams, their fears. I want to know what they want to accomplish in life.

Well, I already have a stable job with good promotion prospects (at least that's covered), so hopefully I'll be married and starting a family.
My favorite Bible passage is...
Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God". Sometimes we just need to slow down, take a deep breath, and (to borrow a Buddhist idea) contemplate our navels.
