What I'd like to do on a first date...
Depending on the weather, I'd like to chat over a cup of coffee. Walk in a nice park, sit near a pond, lake, etc. & get to know one another through honest communication.
My past relationships have taught me...
Acceptance. One does not own another. Not to form expectations, they can lead to disappointment. Having an expectation is creating a false image, from our fantasy, of what we want that person to be & bring to a relationship. Rather than accepting whom they really are & what they have to offer a relationship. We do not mold others, only ourselves. Be opened to different perspectives, individuality & respect another's independent uniqueness. I have learned we give ourselves happiness & fulfillment. Once we realize we have given ourselves these gifts, only then are we able to share what we have attained. For the beauty in living life is sharing our love. To remain open minded, accepting, forgiving, patient, tolerant. Not to compare others to the past, as we are each special individuals in our own way & bring newness to each relationship.
To me, being a Catholic means...
Living the teachings of Jesus. Putting into practical daily use & actions HIS Divine words. Accepting HIS will, being patient, forgiving, understanding & compassionate. Never letting go of Hope, Trust & Love.
In five years, I see myself
Hopefully grow in my faith & develop into my optimum being, through prayer, charitable deeds, other people & learn how to love GOD more. To complete my studies in psychology & help others. Future plans, hoping to achieve my PhD in Psychology. Desire to consel people struggling with their lives. Write a book about my personal encounter with JESUS, in my after death experience, from a severe auto accident.
My favorite Bible passage is...
"I AM the Way, the Truth & the Light" Because, Jesus gives us hope, direction & leadership in how we are to live our lives & grow to receive the gift of faith by following HIS example. JESUS leads us to the Father through Him, with Him, and in Him. For the meaning of human life is to love, and the greatest gift we've received from Him is the power to give ourselves away. Thru JESUS' teachings we find the WAY to live. We learn HE is the TRUTH, revealed by HIS resurrection. We see HIS great sacrifice on the cross, as HIS unconditional love for us, which grants the freedom for eternal LIFE.
