Feels so right
Six months ago I vowed to never attempt online dating again...infact, I never went on the computer for six months until now. I actually didn't know there was a Catholic site of internet dating until I did a search on a whim....had I only known earlier I probably could have saved a lot of heart ache. I requested a match of 80% or better ....thinking in my mind I had set my standards way too high....I wasn't on your site two days and met Pete (Lucky8). He was a 91% match and though I was skeptical...I put my faith in God, and we have been seeing each other ever since. He is the most kind, sincere, honest, and "together" gentleman I have met in my lifetime....Where we go from here, and what the future brings, I can only say that God has a special plan and it feels so right. Thank you Catholic Mingles for providing a service of bringing hopeful Catholics together.

Opened my eyes
Hello Dearest Catholic Mingle Family:
We'd like to thank CM for bringing both of us together. I've met Fred the end of August 2006 in my most difficult time in my life. We've been IM each other every day since. Everything about him seems to be too perfect and I was pretty much guarded all the time because of my previous relationships. Fred has opened my eyes to a new meaning of trust, love, and spiritual happiness. I am so thankful and blessed that we were brought together by Faith and a lot of prayers.
When we finally met in person October 2006 soon as I saw him at the airport I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with this man. We went from the airport to mass and that meant a lot to both of us.
I am truly blessed that our relationship has grown beyond our expectations and we plan to marry. We want our family on CM to know that CM has brought us so much joy.
Never in my wildest dreams I'd meet such a wonderful man who is strong in our Faith, and perfect for whom I was looking for as a soul-mate.

Enjoying the journey
Hi all, I am pleased to say I really did find somebody amazing through CM. I had been a member for 2 years, and beyond finding the great guy that I did, I also made a couple good friends, one in particular, what a story, I live in Calgary, AB, Canada and he was from SD, USA. We IM'd for a while and that led to phone, and had quite an adventurous summer, which only really prooved to me that distance doesn't matter, if you have the ambition (and to be noted, it was really out of my usual "comfort" zone, to travel that far and such). We are still close friends and he has been like a big brother to me. And a spiritual adviser, kind of. Well let's just say I learned alot from him.
But the real story is, upon finding this friend with whom the "chemistry" and practicality didn't work, months later I hadn't bothered to log in, for a long while.
But one night, mostly bored, I decided to (and yes, WOW, does timing ever have everything to do with it ... God's timing that is ... ). I did an "advanced search" in my area and there was a new member, right here in Calgary (believe me, this is kinda rare!). I smiled at him, no big hopes, just smiling cause we were in the same city. Usually I am more apt to consider someone who COMPLETELY fills out there profile, which, he did not :P.
But all the same, I smiled. What insued was alot more smiles. And of course eventually chatting (common CM'ers, you know how it goes ... ), moved to phone calls, and an eventual meet :D.
We have been dating for 3 months now and it's all good! Sorry I don't have a really fast track miracle story, but we are very happy and enjoying the journey of this growing frienship and romance.
What I would like to say to other members ... is, you never know. I had my doubts and didn't ever go hard with an assumption that CM would lead me to my soul mate, but I think it just may have, even though I didn't believe it possibly could. My boyfriend is wonderful, and I wouldn't have known, had I chosen not to smile, even though his profile wasn't volumous in words. (But still, you really should fill it ALL out, girls need to hear that kind of stuff!).
God Bless you all, wish you to keep the faith (of course that has to be number 1), and don't give up hope that you may find your match on here, even if it does take a while, and some patience!

Romance bloomed
Last summer I joined CatholicMingle in hopes of finding someone to simply share my life with, who I could get along with and someone who would love me for me!
About two months into my membership I had met two really great guys. One I thought I had a lot in common with, and another lived in a different country. After spending quite a bit of time talking with the first person, I had hopes that a relationship would form, but I knew deep down that it wasn't the "right" one.
Shortly after, I came upon Brian's profile. He seemed to be a perfect gentleman, intelligent, caring, and he was in a different career than mine (I constantly dated people in my line of work and it never lasted). We also matched 100%. On a whim, I used his screen name to send him an instant message on another messenger and he replied back. At first, I thought we would just be good friends, and suddenly, out of nowhere, this incredible romance bloomed.
Meeting Brian is the best thing that has ever happened to me! Currently we are still making the long-distance situation work but I have every intention of moving to be with him next year. I just wanted to share my success story because I felt as if I had really met some great guys, and could see "potential" in some of them. However, when you TRULY meet the one you're supposed to be with, you will know for sure! Thank you to the CM website for helping to bring us together, and good luck to all still searching for The One! God bless.

I proposed. And she accepted!!
As a widower, I had decided to stop looking for someone. For several years I had worked hard at trying to find and share my life with the right woman. But, I figured the Lord's message to me was clear - 'This is not the path I have planned for you.' Then one afternoon, not too long after my acceptance of the Lord's will, in July 2005, Pam's profile and picture appeared from Catholic Match with an 87% match (unheard of for me)! [When my profile appeared on her screen it was with a 93% match!!] Also, the personality profile coloring started us off well. I thought, "Wow! Well, maybe He has opened a door. I will take a chance and walk through!"
My first introductory e-mail was on July 14, 2005; Our e-mails were great. Pam revealed herself to be an intelligent, accomplished, Catholic woman of grace and kindness. After several months we met for dinner on Sep 4, 2005. When she walked in the restaurant door, I was smitten - all that and beauty too. From the first there was a great attraction and shared interests. The dating turned into courting, on my part, within no time. We are both grateful for Catholic Mingle for bringing us together.
Even though we live in the same city (30 minutes apart), it is doubtful that we would have ever met if not for Catholic Mingle. The Lord continues to bless us as we build our relationship and learn more and more about each other. The future is in the Lord's hands, but we are counting on His blessings on us.
I proposed. And she accepted!! We became engaged on September 16, 2006. The wedding is scheduled for April 14, 2007. We are very involved in wedding planning at his time.
