I joined this site about 4 months ago and I met a special man that I love so much. Although we only chatted here, we call each other now. We have not met face to face yet, but I hope one day we will get married...I would like to thank Catholic Mingle for your prayers here. God bless and have a happy holidays!
We first met on February 24, 2006 in VA. After thousands of frequent flyer miles, hours on the cell phone, lots of e-mails, and video chats... later we were married on June 24, 2007, a year after we got engaged. It was the second marriage for both of us.
It was a different and fun wedding full of tears and tons of laughter. Since I volunteered as a Firefighter/EMT, and in keeping with the "different" theme, our get-away limo was a 39' Pierce pumper truck. Our kids, my sister and niece were our bridal party, musicians, singers and entertainers. My husband's older son and best man, gave a very heart-warming toast which touched everyone and brought a lot of laughter as well as tears. Tears of joy, of course. My daughter and Matron of Honor followed and brought on more tears. We did our first dance after that, which brought my husband's parents to tears, as they had never seen him dance. We had taken dance lessons, so our dance (Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray) looked like we had choreographed it to the music, and I must say, we looked rather dashing. Looking at the video, we could see that our guests were singing along, just as I was, and I found out later that even the wait staff and event coordinator for the hotel were moved to tears in the wings.
All in all, we had a blast. It was our goal to have a fun and different wedding, and that's exactly what everyone was saying as they left the reception. I was still getting e-mail weeks later from our guests saying how much fun they had.
Catholic Mingle, thank you so much for bringing us together (My stepson even made reference to you in his toast). Because of your website, two people's lives have been changed forever. We're together, we're happy, and having the time of our lives.
Our married life has been wonderful and we are grateful to CM for providing us the medium to get together. Many people have asked us how we met, knowing that I lived in VA and him here in FL. We proudly tell them that we met on CM and most people think it's so cool that they actually know of a real internet connection.
We've done a lot of things in the last 13 months. We traveled to Knoxville, TN for the Jr. Olympics (I coached a jump rope team), then drove from there to Florida, where we made our home. We always make a point of doing something special on the 24th of each month, because we first met in person in VA on February 24th, we had our first "real" date in Atlanta, GA on March 24th, we got engaged on June 24th, 2006 and got married on June 24th, 2007. We've traveled throughout FL as well as other states to visit friends and family, see theatrical plays and musicals, go to festivals and cook-offs, and other fun things by ourselves or with our kids.
Not all the trips were for fun and pleasure. In November of 2007, Richard accompanied my son and me to Decatur, IL after my father developed pneumonia from complications with his cancer radiation therapy (My parents were staying with my aunt there, because my mom needed surgery that was not available in Guam, where they lived). I stayed behind and the guys flew home only to come back a few days later as the cancer consumed my father's body. My mother moved to VA Beach (where my father is now interred), to live with my sister. Having spent most of her life in a tropical climate, we flew her to FL for Christmas to get her away from the winter cold. We also flew my daughter, her husband, and son here, so we had a nice family gathering. Richard's sons were home from college, his parents and sister and her family were here as well, so my mother got to meet his side of the family for the first time. We had a wonderful family Christmas.
For our first anniversary, we went on a weekend cruise to the Bahamas. We had great fun, great food, and we enjoyed each other tremendously! Less than two weeks later, we flew to Chicago for my husband's conference. This week, we are working on getting our kitchen back. We had some cabinets updated, added a new pantry and computer tower, and we hope to have counter tops next week. On top of all this, a couple of months ago, I finally got a job at the same college my husband works at, so we are able to drive in together. Best of all, we have the same holidays!!
So, since CM, life has been good. We owe a great deal to you guys, and we are always happy to tell our story.

It all started with a "Catholic Mingle Smile wink" from Gaby. I took a look at her profile not realizing she was from Monterrey, Mexico while I was 1000+ miles away in Phoenix, Arizona. I immediately liked what I saw and responded back with another smile and e-mail. We started to talk here and there through e-mail and instant messaging. I was scheduled to take a cruise with some friends to the Caribbean out of Miami, so we weren't in contact for a couple of weeks. I remember talking to my buddy on the cruise
when he had asked "how my lady life was going". I remember thinking about Gaby in the back of my mind even at that point before we really started
communicating. I got back from the cruise curious to see if Gaby would remember me because we had only communicated a couple of times prior to the
cruise. Well, she did remember me.
One day we were communicating through
instant messaging and she decided to let me see what she looked like through video camera. I was able to see her, but she was not able to see me because I did not have a camera for my computer at that point. Once I saw her at her office, I knew I had to get a camera. I went right out to Best Buy that same day and purchased one so she could see me. Once I got it, we started talking "LIVE" with each other just like we were in the same room. We started talking everyday about everything and we even had one night in which
we talked for 8 hours straight. Even though I was not physically with Gaby, our relationship started to grow and we began developing strong feelings for each other. I had feelings similar to when you have been on a few dates with someone and you could tell there was great potential.
One day we started talking about music and I mentioned how I liked Kenny Rogers. She indicated that he was coming to Monterrey, Mexico and she said if you come to Monterrey that she would buy us tickets. At that moment, a whole series of events started happening in my mind, not just about Kenny Rogers, but the possibility of meeting this wonderful person. I figured what do I have to lose, lets do it, lets go to Monterrey and meet Gaby. She soon started the countdown to my arrival and day by day our feelings grew stronger for each other. She doesn't know this, but I fell in love with her before I saw her in real life.
The day finally arrives for my trip to see Gaby. We had very anxious feelings about seeing each other, not knowing if it would be the
same in real life. I wasn't too worried because I already loved everything about her. The moment we saw each other for real, we hugged and kissed like
we had known each other all of our lives. She showed me everything that Monterrey has to offer and gave me the best 5 days of my life. I met her
wonderful family and enjoyed an authentic Mexican barbecue in my honor. I have memories to last a lifetime. We are very affectionate with each other and both care deeply about the core values of our Lord in the Catholic religion. I am going back to visit once again for New Years 2008 so the
story hasn't ended, it is just the beginning, so stay tuned.
If it wasn't for Catholic Mingle and technology, I would have never met my lovely Gaby.
I encourage all members to give Catholic Mingle a try, you never know what the good Lord will bring us.
We got married April 11, 2009.

We were married September 7, 2007. We began writing via Catholic Mingles January 29, 2005. We both tried other dating services and local singles events, however, after a few decades of trying all these avenues, Catholic Mingles did the trick. We're both in our mid-50’s, so dating experience for both of us is vast, as this is both our first marriages. Success is knowing who one really wants as a mate. Success is being honest with one self and seeing clearly who the person is so as to really feel comfortable with that individual. You may not like the same music or movies, but if you work well together, day to day, and respect each other the match is evident. Having the same values when it comes to money and situation management is key. We respect each other’s hobbies and tastes though we do not completely share them, but we delight to see the other person happy. Positive spirit is key. Laughing a lot together is key. The wedding was simple, inexpensive, but dignified. We made our own cake, had relatives operate the cameras, had no flowers, and focused on the sacrament not the pomp and expense often associated with weddings. We honeymooned in New England for a simple and quiet few days. Never give up finding that special someone, they do exist. Thank you Catholic Mingles.
"We look back at our dating years and see how Catholic Mingle was truly a blessing of Divine Providence. The wonder of marriage is that dating is a preliminary, but the day people marry is truly the beginning. We grow from there and discover the wonderful synergy between us. As a team we are handling many complex care giving issues for each of us in our families as well as the joys of home ownership. We have a large property and the work never ends, but the joy of being together and taming the wilderness into a home is exciting. We never forget to laugh and laugh we do often. We strive each day to communicate. Like building a home, marriage is a building of two separate lives, now one. We see ourselves not totally as individuals, but as a unit, one powerful unit that can face any challenge."

When I first got on here there were a lot of guys who approached me, but some were full of it. Then I really met some nice guys, but this particular guy came in the middle of the night and swept me away and now we have come together and I moved clear across the US to be with him and to start a life together. I wanted out of Oklahoma and he has a good job in Maryland, so I moved to Maryland this past Sunday. Its quite a change from Oklahoma, but for the first time in my life I feel like I have found the right man. He is such a sweet man and my two babies love him. He opened up his home to all three of us and shows us his love daily. Thank you so much and your site brought two people together for the rest of their lives. God Bless you......Janet Phipps aka Teddywoman77

Gunther and I met last Feburary on here and plan to marry next year. While we live about 2000 miles apart, God has graced us with many blessings even though the road has been difficult and long.
I met dreamlizzie on April first. We talked and joked with each other all night long just having fun laughing and kiding around with each other on the IM service. We had so much fun asking each other questions back and forth for hours on the IM service only to find out we had so much in common. That lead to hours on the phone enjoying each others stories and of course the best date I ever been on in my life. We now have and share the joy of life that God has blessed us with and are thankful for each other and everything this site had to offer us. The small price I paid for the months I spent on this site were worth every penny I spent. I met so many nice people made new friends and just enjoyed my time on this site. There is someone for everyone in this world I never thought the internet would be the place for me to find love or even a date. Thanks to the mingle my church singles friends for telling me about this site my faith in God that my prayers will be answered and the members on this site for taking the time just to say hi to make it be able to find my dreamlizzie.

Dear Catholic Mingle,
I have to tell you that I have had tremendous success with Theodor from Moline, IL. We are planning to marry in the future. We are so happy with one another and so in love that I can't express my thanks enough. We both happened to sign on with your service and within one week knew that God Surely Planned this meeting.
I hope and pray that all out there have a wonderful life with someone special - someone special sent by God.

I met BeautyMD2006 (Pin is her name), back in March. We chatted here for several months, eventually sharing Yahoo! messenger ID's and phone numbers. Finally in June we were able to meet for a few days when she was visiting the US for a conference.
Recently I was able to take a week vacation and visit here in the Philippines. WOW, this has really been a love story worthy of a romance novel! We are now working on our plans to share the rest of our lives!!!!
The fact we are nearly half a world apart has had little if no effect on our determination to be together.
I wanted you to know, that your web site has again brought 2 good caring souls together once again. Thank you Carrie, and all the CM staff! We love you!
My name is Pin(beautymd2006), a doctor from the Philippines. After constant smiles and emails from Michael(airview5), we finally chatted, talked on the phone for hours, emailed and saw each other, and got married twice!
We met in March of 2007 on Catholic Mingle. We saw each other for the first time in Philadelphia in May because I had a conference then. He visited me at my brother’s home and together with a friend visited him in TN.
In a few weeks, he was in the Philippines meeting my parents. I got back in TN in October of 2007. In December of 2007 he came back to marry me before the judge in the Philippines.
April 11, 2008, we had our beautiful church wedding in Manila Cathedral in the Philippines.
Since I met Michael, life was never the same again. We had to give up some things in our lives to have each other. I gave up my career in the Philippines. He gave up his comfortable bachelor life. But gaining each other gave no regrets. Up to these very moment, we are now reaching our second year wedding anniversary, it still feels like the first time I saw Michael. He is very loving, sweet, God loving, intelligent and handsome, everything I have dreamt of in a husband.
We are now working on the next phase of our lives together, that is, building our family with children.
All of this could not have happened without prayer and God’s guidance. I kept on praying to God to give me a wonderful husband that will join me in fulfilling His will in our lives. Michael was praying too. We were still both single in our forties! In our search for our one true love, God lead us to meet on Catholic Mingle—a website were we found each other sharing the same faith which was the very core of our lives.
We know that a God centered relationship is the key to a successful marriage. We are not two when we get married, we are three in the relationship; and God is the center.
Thanks to Catholic Mingle for providing the venue for this.
